Our mission statement: Provide high quality, dependable, worry-free entertainment, making happy memories that last a lifetime!
Margaret Clauder is the owner and founder of DFW Funny Business. It is a small, woman owned business and maintains the required certifications as such. She started as a professional clown in 1984. After graduating from clown school and performing for thousands of children, Margaret founded DFW Funny Business, an entertainment agency devoted to high quality, dependable, worry free entertainment. Margaret recalls her 4th birthday party.
“It was not a wonderful party like most children dream of. It was horrible. I remember being in tears over all the strangers and my mother put me to bed. When I woke up the guests had eaten all of my cake and I saw no presents. It’s funny, but kids remember the best times in their life and the worst times. I want parties to always be the best times.”
Margaret’s adult sons remember their birthday parties from as young as age 3. “My parties were always the envy of the other kids at school, Mom” says John, now a college and law school graduate.
Award-Winning Entertainment
Margaret decided when she became an entertainer she would always give children the parties of their dreams. Through hard work, many hours of practice and study, she became an award winning clown who is now known nation-wide. In fact, Margaret is a featured lecturer and columnist for entertainer magazines distributed around the world. Through her association with various entertainment organizations both locally and throughout the USA, Margaret has met many other top-notch performers like herself. She has taken the cream of the crop of clowns, face painters, balloon entertainers, magicians, puppeteers, and storytellers and assembled them into a tight knit family-friendly company – a full service entertainment company called DFW Funny Business.
DFW Funny Business started as a birthday party company, but now they are much, much, more. We have handled events as large as 20,000 people, such as the City of Dallas Holiday Wish Celebration in 2004. We provided all the children’s entertainment for that event! For starters, all the entertainers who work for us pass a criminal background check. We would want to know that the magician, clown, costume character, puppeteer, face painter, or other performer entertaining the kids in our living room was safe, and we assume you feel the same way. Welcome a DFW Funny Business children’s entertainer to your event, knowing that their record is clean.
We take pride in our work, and we are honored that you would consider us for your event. No two people or celebrations are the same, and we treat each event as a special event. DFW Funny Business will work hard to make your party more memorable for your guests. Another way we are different is that when we commit to your event, we deliver. You won’t suddenly find yourself without fun because we got another gig we think is “better”. We’ll be at the party when we promised, the day we promised, to deliver the fun we promised.
